The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in Ogun State, Nigeria, has been selected as a beneficiary institution of the Digital Skills Nigeria (DSN) initiative, a Microsoft program implemented by Tech4Dev. This initiative, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy and other stakeholders, aims to enhance digital literacy and skills among educators and students.

RECOMMENDED: FUNAAB Explores Collaboration with University of Pennsylvania

As part of the DSN initiative, FUNAAB is eligible to nominate between 15 to 25 lecturers for free virtual training and certification in essential Future of Work foundational courses. These courses cover critical areas such as Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cybersecurity. The nominated lecturers will not only receive advanced training but will also commit to passing on their knowledge by teaching 5,000 students through in-class learning on these key topics.
